My Two Cents:
Mariachi was an achievement on its budget that was likeable cos it had soul and care put into it,
desperado was acceptable, badly written brain dead fun, OUATIM is scary excrament. rodriguez may or may not overpromote his hands on, one man show thing, but one thing he should never do again is write. 5 days? seems more like he had a dream, scribbled it down when he woke up and filmed it. In short he is a capable but massively overrated action director with zero writing ability, note desperado and FDTD had tarantino on set and are good enuff, OUATIM, no tarantino, but weak assed tarantino rip off attempt lines such as "are you an mexican or a mexicant". I realise i havent added a single thing here but i hated this film so much i just had to join in this thread, its the first time ive ever sat in a cinema and genuinely considered that maybe i had suddenly developed a brain tumor or had eaten acid laced popcorn because what i thought i was seeing could not possibly be actually happening on the screen.
